Taking an archival basketball sneaker – the Palace Guard – and giving it a deconstructed aesthetic accompanied by luxe materials, the duo offer a slick, latte-tone take on an old classic. Contrasting textures combine to form the uppers – luxe suede, matte leather and high tech nylon mesh – while the sole is cut from coffee coloured rubber which repeats at the eyelets. A perforated Formstrip punctuates the sidewall and the sneaker is finished with high impact dual branded tongue pulls and intermittent hits of haphazardly placed white stitching for a subtle handmade look.
